HUBUNGAN ANTARA DUKUNGAN SUAMI DENGAN KEJADIAN POSTPARTUM BLUES DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS BATU AJI KOTA BATAM TAHUN 20

Abstract

Background: Postpartum Blues is a mental disorder, this situation often ignored and will create uncomfortable feelings for women who experience it. So, this circumstance may have a worse impact especially in a matter of husband relationship. This study aims to perceive the relation between the husband’s support with the Postpartum Blues occurrence in the scope of Public Health Center located in Batu Aji Batam on 2022.

Method: The manner of this study was using a descriptive approach with the feature of Cross-Sectional Observation. This study was implemented at the Public Health Center of Batu Aji. The number of samples of this study was 51 people. The sampling technique was using its Total Sample. The independent variable of this study was the husband’s support while the Postpartum Blues was taken as the dependent variable. The sampling data was retrieved by using a questionnaire of husband’s support and EPDS questionnaire (Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale). The data analysis was applying the Chi-Square Test.

Result: Based on the 51 people studied, as many as 22 out of 30 respondents (73.3%) with the deficiency of husband’s support were diagnosed as Postpartum Blues. Moreover, with adequacy of husband’s support, there were only 6 out of 21 (28.6%) respondents were recognized as Postpartum Blues. The statistical test resulted 0.002  0.05 for the p value of Chi-Square

Conclusion: There is a relation between the husband’s support with the Postpartum Blues studied at The Public Health Center of Batu Aji Batam on 2022
