Abstract

Background: The research aims to prove that by listening to the murrotal of the Quran can affect the concentration of learning, where the sound from the murottal of the Qur'an will enter through the ear then continue through the middle ear then will Transformed into an electric impul which will be conveyed on the amygdala where the amygdala is an emotional memory space. Thus giving rise to a calm mood, as a result, the brain can run with maximum to concentrate.

Method: This type of research is Quasi Experiment with One Group Pretest-Posttest. The research instrument used is the Army Alpha Test which amounts to 12 instructions, given before and after treatment (Murottal Al-Quran) with the number of respondents as many as 30 respondents.

Results: The bivariate analysis used was Wilcoxon's test and showed the results that Ha failed to be rejected which meant there was a listening effect Murottal to the concentration of learning before and after intervention with the value P = 0.000.

Conclusion: There is an effect of listening Murottal to the concentration of children’s learning before and after intervention and listening Murottal effective in increasing the concentration of learning in school-age children.
